Fitter

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Fitter to join our successful bespoke staircase company.

The Job

The works will involve installing architectural metalwork, staircase installation, balconies and handrails in both stainless and mild steels for various commercial and residential clients. You will be required to travel and to work on client sites all over the UK, staying away overnight when needed.

The candidate:

The ideal candidate will either be an experienced or trained fitter who is focused and able to work with own initiative under minimal supervision as part of a two man team. It is important that you have a professional manner and good communication skills.

Requirements:

  • Be able to read and understand technical drawings.
  • Have a valid CSCS card.
  • Have a valid UK driving license.
  • Able to travel to various sites throughout the UK; accommodation and travel paid for. 
  • Able to stay out overnight during the week when required.

Other skills (desired):

  • Slinger / singaller, IPAF, PASMA etc are all beneficial but not essential as training can be provided if required.


Hours of work: Monday to Friday (Occasional weekends may be required and overtime rates paid).

Job types: Full-time, Permanent.

Salary: £13.00 – £16.00 per hour
