Spiral UK Opens Its Doors for National Manufacturing Day 2026

Taking place on Thursday 24 September 2026, the open day invites schools, colleges, suppliers and the wider Cornwall community into our Helston site to see modern manufacturing up close — and to discover the wide range of careers behind every staircase we design, engineer and install.

Spiral UK has been part of the Cornwall community for over 40 years, designing and manufacturing bespoke staircases for customers across the UK. As a growing, employee-owned business, we’re always looking for talented people to join us — not just in production, but across design, engineering, sales, finance, HR and IT too.

CEO Andrew Holland said: “We’re proud to open our doors for National Manufacturing Day and welcome the local community here in Cornwall. It’s a great opportunity to showcase the craftsmanship, technology and people behind every staircase we design, manufacture and install.

National Manufacturing Day offers something for everyone — from younger students exploring subject choices, to school leavers and experienced professionals considering a career change. It’s a chance for local communities, schools and colleges to step inside manufacturing businesses and discover what’s happening on their doorstep, in a sector spanning everything from aerospace and engineering to food and drink, automotive, defence and pharmaceuticals.
