A bold industrial aesthetic meets architectural transparency.
This feature dog-leg staircase is a masterclass in structural honesty, utilising a robust steel channel stringer configuration to define its sharp, geometric silhouette.
The design features mechanically connected flat plate closed riser treads that transition seamlessly into expansive intermediate and upper landings. To maintain a consistent visual language, the platform landings flanking the flights mirror the tread construction, creating a unified industrial aesthetic that celebrates the raw strength of the materials.

The balustrading reinforces the project’s engineered robust, functional character. Vertical square hollow section (SHS) uprights are precision-mounted to the top edge of the stringers, supporting side-mounted weld mesh panels that provide security while optimising light and airflow. This mesh detail is carried through to the upper floor edges and the low-level timber surrounds on the platform landings, ensuring a cohesive wrap-around effect. The result is a high-impact circulation core where the deliberate pairing of heavy-duty steelwork and perforated textures creates a striking, transparent focal point.
