Our latest fit out project, a glamourous Georgian style stair

We have started at site on the steelwork for a five-flight Georgian style staircase for a fit out project in London.

The contract, for a global private equity firm, is part of an office fit out and refurbishment scheme for a property in St James Square in London.

Spiral UK have been contracted to design, manufacture and install a bespoke staircase and supporting steelwork. The staircase design is a helical, straight combination which will be clad in stone with bronze painted steel spindles and French polished timber handrails.

The staircase style reflects the modest, symmetry and proportion features typical of Georgian architecture ensuring it suits the traditional nature of the building but with a clean, modern twist.

Eric Nicholls Managing Director of Spiral UK said

We are very pleased to be working with ISG Fit Out on this job, one of several fit-out projects we are currently progressing including stairs in boutique offices in Knightsbridge and the Royal Albert Hall.

Commercial and residential staircases in Georgian and art deco styles are very popular at the moment and we are seeing a lot of designs involving symmetrical bronze balustrade spindles.

In addition to the main staircase on the project, which is quite substantial, we are also supplying five small stone stairs in other parts of the building.
