Bespoke Staircases

We've celebrated an exciting few months

We have celebrated the completion of a project to upgrade our premises, and winning at the Cornwall Business Awards, by holding a get together and BBQ in our newly refurbished factory in Helston, Cornwall.

It's been exciting few months. European Regional Development Funding (ERDF) from the Big 2 Project has enabled an upgrade programme which not only saw improvements to our access and storage areas, for increased capacity, but the installation of a new state-of-the-art CNC plasma machine. This will have a significant impact on our staircase manufacturing capabilities and increase productivity.

In addition to this we were thrilled to have won the ‘Employer of the Year’ Award at last month’s Cornwall Business Awards where we were also shorted listed in three other categories: Manufacturer of the Year, Most Dynamic Growth Business and Entrepreneur of the Year.

At Spiral UK we design, manufacture and install a wide range of bespoke straight, spiral and helical staircases for clients across the UK in the luxury residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

Our company get together was a great opportunity for everyone to celebrate. It kicked off with CEO Andrew Holland making a presentation to Pete Bell, Purchasing Manager, who was recognised for 30 years’ service. This was followed by a BBQ and games in the yard put on by Ben Tossell, Lean & Continuous Improvements Facilitator, who led the project to upgrade the production areas.

Eric Nicholls, Managing Director said.

“This is a very timely opportunity to celebrate the team’s successes. The new investment will make a significant impact on the business increasing our efficiency and allow us to focus on what we’re known for, a high quality bespoke staircase service from design through to installation.

“We have completed some very exciting projects recently, in particular an ultra-modern helical staircase in City of London landmark the Gherkin, and in contrast a beautiful spiral staircase to fit the grade I listed Temperate House renovation in Kew Gardens.

“This get together is a good way to celebrate our achievements and say thank you to everyone involved.”
