Spiral UK reaps the rewards of its apprenticeship programme

Spiral UK, who manufacture high-end bespoke staircases, have reaped the rewards of their skills development programme by seeing their apprentices graduate, adding even more expertise to its skilled team.

The company currently employs three people who have either recently graduated or are about to graduate from apprenticeship programmes.

Liam Tremayne has recently qualified in Engineering Technology and Fabrication and Welding and Adam Cooper is set to do the same very soon, after studying at Truro College.

Andrew Holland CEO said

“Spiral UK are committed to developing and nurturing a highly skilled workforce that is very able to design and manufacture the high-quality bespoke staircases that we deliver across the UK. We work for world renown companies like Dyson, Sony and more locally Falmouth University so it is essential that our people have the right skills and experience to deliver the bespoke staircases that our clients require.

We believe in supporting our people to grow and develop in the organisation and the apprenticeship programme helps us do this”

Spiral UK support their apprentices by paying them whilst they are studying a day a week at college and offering funding towards their courses.

In addition to this the company also encourages continuous professional development amongst all its staff. Spiral UK’s Business Administrator Megan Cookson is studying for CIPD Level 3 in Human Resource Practice and Design Manager Andy Bartlett has recently undertaken a Change Management Course.
