ISO9001 & IIP Awarded to Spiral Construction

We have now achieved ISO9001, the international standard for Quality Management
and the Investors in People Bronze Standard.

Spiral Construction Managing Director, Eric Nicholls commented “we are delighted to have received these accreditations in the same week and I am very proud of all our staff and management for achieving this.  ISO9001 is a highly regarded international standard and will assist us in both the areas of continuous improvement for the business and winning future contracts.  We are also delighted to have achieved the Investors in People Bronze Standard only 3 years after receiving our receiving our original accreditation, this puts us in the top 3 per cent of companies nationally that have IIP in itself a very difficult award to achieve”

Spiral Construction achieved the ISO9001 accreditation in only 8 months, much quicker than the average for their industry.  Much of the work was carried out by Spiral’s Production Co-Ordinator, Gavin Millington, who only started with the company in January after being recruited through the Unlocking Cornish Potential scheme which is part of Cornwall’s Convergence programme. This gives us official recognition for our pioneering management systems, demonstrating our consistency in providing our customers with products which meet regulatory standards and requirements.

'This will be a real asset to the business and help us in a lot of ways, I think we are already seeing the benefits' - Eric Nicholls.
