Operating nationally, we offer the most extensive range of design and materials available on the market. Using state of the art 3D CAD and CNC manufacturing systems, combined with highly skilled craftsmen working in stainless steel, wood and stone, we produce a stunning range of quality staircases.
Our Company philosophy is based on
three basic principles which combine to give the best in both

1. Staircase Design
All our staircases are individually designed
using the latest CAD 3D technology, with close liaison with
client, contractor and consultants throughout every project.
This ensures compliance with Building Regulations, British
Standards and Codes of Practice.
2. Staircase Manufacture
All stairways are produced in our purpose
designed factory and are subject to strict quality controls
throughout all operations. We use our vast experience in
many types of material to ensure optimum quality. From the
smallest domestic to the largest commercial, all stairs are
produced to the same exacting standards.
3. Staircase Installation
We offer a fixing service throughout the
UK and Republic of Ireland for all our products, which normally
includes site surveys and a visit by one of our installation
staff prior to work commencing on site. Our trained fixing
teams ensure that staircase installation is carried out efficiently
to the highest standards.
SPIRAL STAIRS
Concrete Staircases
The versatility
of pre-cast concrete enables us to design and manufacture spiral
staircases that are elegant, functional and robust. We have
refined a number of production techniques which allow us to
offer an extensive range of finishes and textures.
Steel Staircases
Steel is the most popular metal for spiral staircase construction,
offering strength, versatility and economy. We offer a wide
range of stair designs and finishes to suit all applications.
Timber Staircases
Our range of wooden spiral staircases combine
the strength of a steel centre column with the beauty and durability
of natural wood. This type of staircase is normally only supplied
for internal applications.
Wachenfeld Stone Staircases
Spiral Construction are sole UK and Republic
of Ireland agents and suppliers for the stunning range of Wachenfeld
natural stone staircases. We supply and install a range of
spiral, straight and helical stairs combining the strength
and beauty of natural stone such as marble, limestone and granite.
Glass Staircases
For prestige internal locations we manufacture stairs with glass treads,
normally combined with a stainless steel supporting structure to produce a stunning ultra modern appearance.
TECHNICAL
Technical requirements relating to design, construction
and installation of spiral staircases.
The design of all stairs, spiral or
otherwise, is governed by Part K of Building Regulations. However,
paragraph 1.21 of Part K states that spiral and helical staircases
comply with Building Regulations if they are designed to comply
with British Standard BS5395 part II (Code of practice for
the design of helical and spiral stairs 1984). In essence this
means a greater degree of flexibility in design than using
the criteria for tapered treads laid down in Part K, particularly
with regard to intermediate and floor level landings, inner
goings and numbers of risers per flight. In addition to this,
parts B (Means of Escape) and M (Access for Disabled) of Building
Regulations also apply to spiral stairs in certain situations.
External stairways over six metres in height may also require
weather protection, such as balustrade panels and canopy roofing.
Please consult with our Technical Department for further advice
on all aspects of Building Regulations. We strongly recommend
that all customers liaise with their local authority Building
Control department or District Surveyor to ascertain the exact
requirement for the individual situation.
